Trailer for David Gordon Green's PRINCE AVALANCHE Arrives!!!

Hey guys! Horrorella here...

David Gordon Green (PINEAPPLE EXPRESS) is returning to his indie roots with his next project, the character-driven PRINCE AVALANCHE. The film is a remake of the Icelandic film EITHER WAY, and follows Alvin (Paul Rudd) and Lance (Emile Hirsch) -  two road workers tasked with re-painting traffic lines down a very very long highway. It looks as though the film balances some well-placed comedic moments with a lot of well thought-out character work, with everything centering on the duo as they try to figure out their lives.

Here's the official plot synopsis, via Apple:

An odd couple of sorts, meditative and stern Alvin and his girlfriend’s brother, Lance, dopey and insecure, leave the city behind to spend the summer in solitude repainting traffic lines down the center of a country highway ravaged by wildfire. As they sink into their job in the remarkable landscape, they learn more than they want to about each other and their own limitations. An unlikely friendship develops through humor and nasty exchanges, leading to surprising affection. Adapted from Icelandic film Either Way, Prince Avalanche is driven by wonderful performances by Paul Rudd, Emile Hirsch, and Lance LeGault. Writer/director David Gordon Green gets back to his independent roots with this character study, which shows his knack for realistically capturing people and finding meaning in their lives and dreams.

PRINCE AVALANCHE will open in theaters and VOD on August 9th. Personally, the trailer sold me, and I am really looking forward to this film. I can't wait to see what Rudd and Hirsch do with these characters.
