Hey folks, Harry here. Wahlberg, who has been consistently doing a great job finding parts over the last couple of years has some deciding to do before he films OCEAN'S 11. He has room for ONE project between now and then. Below he mentions the Tim Burton film (which we all know is PLANET OF THE APES), but Universal is also wooing him to do THE GREEN HORNET alongside Jet Li, from a Christopher McQuarrie screenplay. Hmmmm.... Which will he choose? or... Neither?
Hey Harry. I don't know if this is really new information, but in an interview with the Boston Globe, Mark Wahlberg seems to say he is going to be in the new Planet of the Apes. His wording is a little ambiguous.
Here's the exact quote:
"'I love watching action movies,' he says. 'But I don't want to be an action star. I don't want to be Jean-Claude Can Damme, that's for sure. He's a likeable guy, but as an actor, that's not what I want. I have more to offer. . . I am talking about a kind of big movie right now, but it's with a very artistic director - Tim Burton.'"
So that's it. Sounds like he's onboard. Keep up the good work.
Skylar
