So this one's sorta like BATTLESTAR GALACTICA on a choo choo. The characterization sounds snarker than I intend it to, but that's pretty much the way this shakes out: struggle and power plays aboard a train which perpetually carries the remnants of humanity around the globe.
Sound dopey? I can see that - but when one factors in the talent involved, the picture starts to change a bit. This is directed Joon-ho Bong (THE HOST, MOTHER), and stars Chris Evans, Ed Harris, Tilda Swinton, and John Hurt (it'll be interesting to see how long he sticks around as a version of the Doctor on DOCTOR WHO). Based on the French graphic novel LE TRANSPERCENEIGE, we're still awaiting a release date on this one (to the best of my knowledge). However, based on a recent uptick of details about the film, I'm betting we'll get a better look at this sooner than later.
Hopefully we'll see a higher-quality version of this trailer roll through shortly. For now, though...here's a starter.
