Kevin Spacey being considered to replace Carrey in THE MASK 2'

Harry here, and back with Major Bludd as a source. Yesterday he reported about Sam Neill and JURASSIC PARK 3, he contacted me about another casting bit that he's seen appear on a few documents and papers and scribblings upon bathroom stall walls... That NEW LINE has 'SECRETLY' gone out to Kevin Spacey to play the man that puts that ancient wooden mask containing the evil spirit of LOKI on and becoming.... SMOKING!

Now when something is secretly going out, that means that he's not attached, it doesn't mean he's necessarily interested... it just means... that it's going out to him to consider.

Now let us take a minute here to consider this thought. Imagine Kevin's AMERICAN BEAUTY character had he found that mask. That tired man, beaten by life, turned into a regular sexual tyrannosaur with hellaciously cool line delivery and smooth moves...

Personally, I've never trully been able to picture Jim going back to the part... he seems to be in a different realm at the moment. Personally, my dream for THE MASK 2, would be to see Kevin accept and to see SPIKE JONZE directing from a script by Charlie Kaufman. BUT THAT'S JUST PLAIN BATTY! I know. But then, that's why I don't run the studios.
