The PEARL HARBOR teaser that Peter Proud is writing about, will indeed be coming out this 4th Of July weekend, and the Bruckheimer/Bay bunch are wanting to get it in front of THE PATRIOT. And as for the Jackie Chan stuff... Some additional info on RUSH HOUR 2 that I have... Pre-production ramps up in July and apparently director Brett Ratner (who's busy working on the Romantic Comedy THE FAMILY MAN with Nick Cage and Don Cheadle) is looking for a hot babe to be the third leg of the film.... sort of the 'Joe Pesci' I suppose... hehehe... Well, here's that reincarnated bloke.... Peter Proud....
Watch out for the first Pearl Harbor teaser this 4th of July weekend, or at the latest the X-Men weekend mid-July. Got this from very reliable source at Bruckheimer/Bay camp. No lead cast footage, just the setup and lots of stuff blowing up, it's gonna rock!!! So watch out for The Patriot or Perfect Storm, both of which felt like the "right" movies to premiere this trailer on.
Contrary to what the trades reported 2 weeks ago, Jackie Chan isn't doing "The Terracota Warrior" next, he is currently filming what could be his only Chinese film in the next 2 years called "Spy," and then plans to roll cameras on Rush Hour 2 in August for a mid-2001 release. He is high on 2 other projects after RH2, Nosebleed for Renny Harlin at New Line, or possibly Shanghai Noon 2 if they still pkan to shoot that one despite its okay results at best at the tills this summer.
