1/6 SCALE ROADBLOCK FROM HOT TOYS
His friends and family in Biloxi call him Marvin F. Hinton. His fellow G.I. Joes know him as Roadblock. This heavy weapons expert from the latest Joe film will soon get the 12-inch deluxe treatment courtesy of Hot Toys. The figure features Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s likeness, more than 30 points of articulation, three pairs of interchangeable hands, a military uniform, black t-shirt, two holsters, a pair of brass knuckles with attachable, daggers, knife, baton, and pistols, 1 handgun with silencer, a machine gun, wristwatch, electronic device and display base. He’ll enlist for duty in the fourth quarter of the year or you can preorder him here.
JUMBO ZUCKUSS FROM GENTLE GIANT LTD.
The other bounty hunters refer to Zuckuss as “the Uncanny One.” This ammonia-breathing tracker holds a secret though. He has an affinity for The Force. Gentle Giant digitally scanned a mint 3.75-inch Kenner original to act as the basis for this big guy. Using roto and injection molding, this 12-inch bounty hunter has been faithfully reproduced and comes with a blaster rifle. The release also features a 1980 Empire Strikes Back-inspired blister card and “45 back” artwork, along with a re-sealable plastic outer clam shell. Jumbo Zuckuss releases in the first quarter of 2014 or you can preorder here.
ED-209 UPDATE FROM NECA
NECA gave Figures.com the exclusive on the latest version of this upcoming Robocop nemesis. On the left you’ll see the updated ED-209 and on the right you’ll see its reveal in February at Toy Fair 2013. The main difference seems to be the paint job and new decals. The figure should have working hydraulics on the legs (up and down motion) with additional articulation in the arms and feet. According to reports from Toy Fair, it’s close in scale to NECA’s 7-inch scale Robocop figures, with the company shooting for a $50 price tag. This urban police enforcement bot will be authorized to use force sometime this summer.
SURVIVAL RAMBO FROM NECA
Based on the success of First Blood Rambo, NECA has decided to create a second version. Survival Rambo features Sylvester Stallone’s likeness, his classic survival knife, walkie talkie, pistol, assault rifle and spear. He will take his vengeance in September or you can preorder him here. NECA has more pics of the 7-inch figure in action here.
INVINCIBLE MINIMATES FROM DIAMOND SELECT TOYS
The guy who created The Walking Dead also wrote wrote a superhero saga entitled Invincible. Robert Kirkman told the story of a half-alien hero living in the shadow of his famous father. Invincible recently published its 100th issue. Diamond Select Toys plans to commemorate the occasion with a new box set of Minimates. Invincible, Atom Eve, Omni-Man and Allen the Alien will each stand 2-inch high and feature 14 points of articulation. Look for these to release later in the fall or you can preorder the set here.
