This actually isn't much different from the last trailer CBS Films released for INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS, but it's "new" and it's the Coen Brothers, so let's take a look!
As many have noted, the film's tone seems much warmer and more sincere than anything else in the Coens' oeuvre. Aside from the opening line delivery, the dialogue and the acting appears somewhat... normal. There's nothing arch or offbeat here, which is interesting. I'm fascinated by the whole 1960s folk music scene, so if the Coens want to do something more straightforward in this milieu, I'm all for it.
INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS premieres this month at the Cannes Film Festival, and opens theatrically in the U.S. on December 20th, 2013.
