While we wait for more information on the horrific explosions that occurred at the finish line of the Boston Marathon, it's important to remember that we're not powerless to help those in need. If you live in the Boston area, you can donate blood at the nearest American Red Cross Donor Center. The Red Cross' servers get slammed during tragedies like this, so if that link isn't loading in a timely manner, use Google to find a local Donor Center.
If you're outside of Boston, you can always donate money to the Red Cross - and remember there is no such thing as an insignificant donation. Every little bit helps.
If you live in Boston, please refrain from using your cell phone unless it is absolutely urgent.
