Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Deadline is reporting that Prison Break's Wentworth Miller has been hired to adapt the upcoming Richard Parker thriller novel SCARE ME for Relativity Media.
I have now somehow missed two screenings of Chan-wook Park's STOKER, which drives me a little crazy because I'm dying to see it. Not only is it Oldboy director Park Chan-wook's first English language feature, it's also the first produced feature script by Miller.
I hear it's damn good and now it's in general release, so I just gotta drag my ass across town to catch it in the art house theater up north.
I don't know much about Parker's book (it doesn't come out until the end of the April, so I have a good excuse for my ignorance this time), but Mike Fleming describes it as having a Se7en vibe. Not enough movies have a Se7en vibe, so that's a good thing. Perhaps Pixar can throw in some Se7en vibes into their next film. Sulley and Mike have to investigate biblical murders. Let's do this, Hollywood!
