Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Paramount have begun screening their long delayed GI Joe sequel and the word that has leaked out has been mostly positive, with words like "fun" and "crazy" and "silly" standing out amongst the hushed whispers.
I wasn't one of those that ironically liked the first movie and I'm not one of those that non-ironically liked it either, for that matter. It was just big and mediocre. However I still hold out hope for this one, primarily because Jon Chu seems like a good fit to make the world stupid and big and entertaining.
Plus The Rock is always a welcome addition to any sequel.
But we'll see. I don't have much nostalgia for the toys or cartoon if I'm going to be completely honest. I was always a He-Man/Ninja Turtles kid more than a GI Joe/Transformers kid.
