Sister Satan here while nesting in my cave a day ago I dug up a rather odd bundle of papers, inspecting it more carefully i realized it was the script for "Flirting with Destiny" and recognizing one of the screenwriters names made me incredibly eager to read it.
Who you ask sparked such interest? Well there are two writers of this script-Dave Riddick & Jeffery Falcon. Yeah Jeffery Falcon as in the brain and actor from "SIX STRING SAMURAI" a movie that I LOVE!!!So without any further question I started reading and in about an hour and ten minutes I was done...
This script I must say really got me, its a romantic comedy--but not just your every day same ole type. The characters in this script leap off the pages, making you love them and making you hate them.
The jokes use smart humor (something thats pretty hard to find now days) and sight gag stuff, parts of this script had me giggling out loud others choking up. The main thing is you fall in love with the characters, and not just the two leads.
Now to tell a tidbit about the plot--- most of the time is spent in one of those giant supermarkets, the characters are the employees and customers. Our two romantic leads have been friends forever and through out the film reveal their true feelings while one is in pursuit of Destiny...Destiny is the name of the sex-goddess-supermodel-moneyhungryb*tch that you grow to despise and hate with an inner passion...:O)
Anywhoo--describing the plot to this film, I know most of you are thinking UGGG, CHICKFLICK, but it's not its written very well and if i had to compare it to two films they would be--"Empire Records" and "Chasing Amy" so if ya liked those two flicks get interested in this one, and keep in mind that this one has probably twice the amount of characters but each one is as memorable as the ones in six string.....
I wish I knew more interesting facts about this flick2bee but I cant find any thing on whose in it or what is going on as far as production or who Dave is or anything, but fear not there is the great and powerful Harry whom I will poke and praud until he confesses the cast & crews names and short biographies and so on...
Until I can have a true buncha news for you guys. Well off to dig up those tools of torment:O)
