Godzilla!!!! (NOT)

Well those of you that checked out Patrick's COMING ATTRACTION update, you probably saw the 'Godzilla Maquette' that he has up. This is not THE Maquette. When I saw it, I knew it wasn't right, but this time I decided to not just trust my eyes, but a spy that is REALLY 'IN'. Just as a note for Patrick and his spy, a model that is scanned into a computer is NOT wrapped around a building, but is rather free standing so that you can scan it and reference it from all angles and to not miss anything. But anyway here is the report from Dr. Tabata...

No, it's not. It's from a sculptor from Hermosa beach who got the very same fakes that were sent to Fruit of the Loom. He was supposed to do some sculpts for two different licensees. Later, when he received the REAL drawings, he threw that early one away. Unfortunately, he didn't do what he was supposed to and destroy it and now it's up on sites. But if you look at it, it's exactly the same creature as the other drawings

The Marquette that Patrick T. made for Japan was a stand alone of the creature. There was NO buildings in that whatsoever.

Meanwhile MechaDude sent in this report from... Manhattan!!! Wow!!! Cool!!! And it is about this HUGE ad banner for Godzilla...

I go to Baruch College here in old Manhattan, which is located on 23rd Street and blocks away from Madison Square Park and the Flatiron Building, which is the one that's got only three corners instead of 4. Wellsir, last summer, as I attended night school, I happened to chance upon several nights of filming in the park, which included a tank rolling right up Fifth Avenue. Turns out it was Godzilla doing location shooting here in the city!

Well, tonight (Februrary 2nd) as I was heading home along 23rd and passed the Flatiron Building, what should I spot but a towering 3-sided kiosk-type structure surrounded by spotlights, and a poster in Godzilla-green on each side saying "He's as tall as the Flatiron Building" (roughly twenty stories) and then "GODZILLA" and underneath that, the tag "Size Does Matter." It was an awesome display and seems to imply some kind of crucial scene takes place in the area. It seems to have gone up tonight.
