Man, I don't even know about this. THis project just seems so... bizarre and weird to me. It seems like it would have to be a period Sixties piece... I mean... do the Archie's work as a concept in any other time period? I don't know... here's the scoop...
Hey!!! Thanks for the Ocean's 11/David Holmes post you did earlier in the month that came from me! Anyway here is news on another musician involved on a film deal right now. Music producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds was speaking to EURweb about black involvement in film and music and talked about producing the to soundtrack and the film Josie & The Pussycats. He said he went into the film because all of Hollywood was going "retro" and the old carton was very "rock and roll". An exact quote went like:
"We are getting to go into production, probably in August. It's not going to be animated, but an actual live action film. It's still a strong possibility that Lisa 'Lefteye' Lopes will be cast in the film. We're still casting for it, but she's got a real good shot at it."
Lisa is in the R&B group TLC, Grammy winners for "No Scrubs". Proof that song means nothing.
