The stunning beauty from Europe, The Lorelei, has decided to join our team by filing, what she hopes will be daily updates about the ins and outs of cool news online, day in and day out. A sort of one stop stomping ground for cool film news on the net. This is a double version, as I didn't get her reports till just now. But here you go, enjoy....

Nosebleed: the next Jackie Chan flick is underway; this time it's all about a disgraced Peking Opera performer working as a window washer in New York and stopping an attempted terrorist bombing. The script has been getting rave reviews, apparently, and New Line Cinema hopes to start filming sometime next Summer for a release in 2002. For more: Dark Horizons
Hannibal: Another re-write in store? USA Today reports that the author himself will be headed to Florence, Italy to visit the set of the production and long-time friend Producer Dino DeLaurentiis. Bridget Jones' Diary: UK's Sunday Mail reports that Julia Roberts had been offered $20+ million as an initial fee to star in the next Batman flick. Producers wanted Roberts in the flick to guarantee pulling power, but apparently she is not interested saying "the chances of her accepting the role were slim to anorexic". The same day the paper also reported that author Helen Fielding has supposedly disowned the film version of her book "Bridget Jones' Diary"...worried it will be americanized, I'm sure. Minutes" - a dark satire of serial killer media coverage with Ed Burns,
Robert DeNiro & Kelsey Grammer - it opens October 6th.
