El Cosmico here, who else would be posting a story about this movie? It seems, folks, that Lars Von Trier's latest film is emerging as the favorite for the Golden Palm award at Cannes! It seems they got a "wild standing ovation" for Dancer In The Dark.
There's a Reuters story up...go check it out here... I can't explain how happy I am about this. Of course, it will probably be a long time before I get to see this film, but from the looks of that Reuters article, it's one heck of a film. Oh, and by the way, it stars Bjork, one of my very favorite people in the world, and Catherine Deneuve, who is, well, only one of the finest actresses alive.
So, there you are. Congrats to Lars and company on a their ovation, I HOPE YOU GUYS WIN THE GOLDEN PALM! ...and for those of you lucky enough to be in Cannes, please post a good talkback for us, eh? Oh, and if anyone wants to send me a transfer of this film...I'd freaking love to see it!!!
