Hercules Strongly Endorses
Tonight’s BOARDWALK EMPIRE!!

HBO says of “The Milkmaid’s Lot”:

Episode #33:
Reeling from Gyp’s most recent attack, Nucky vows to eliminate his nemesis through a coalition of familiar partners. In Washington, the arrest of a high-profile bootlegger puts Daugherty (Christopher McDonald) and Jess Smith (Ed Jewett) on the hot seat. Emily (Lucy and Josie Gallina) gets a scaled-down birthday party; Gillian blames an absent Harrow (Jack Huston) for Tommy’s (Brady and Connor Noon) latest misadventure; Gyp decides to buy a town’s silence; Broadway mourns a fallen star. Written by Rolin Jones; directed by Ed Bianchi.

More in the text invisible.

* The episode begins with workmen gathering up what’s left of Babette’s Supper Club.

* No Van Alden, Capone or any of the other Chicagoans this week.

* Margaret takes a break from fussing over lady parts.

* It’s a big episode for Harrow.

* Nucky is more than reeling from the attack.

* Gyp makes a typically menacing entrance.

* Chalky’s back, if only for a bit. He’s one of the “familiar partners."

* The scene depicted in that Gyp clip occurs about 17 minutes in. The Remus scene happens along four minutes later.

* The Remus scene is all we get of the Harry Daugherty-Gaston Means-Andrew Mellon storyline.

* “Well, you’re easy to housebreak.”

* How does it end, spoiler-boy? Nucky cries out, and somebody turns up in a new hat.

9 p.m. Sunday. HBO.
