Hey folks, Harry here with a tidbit about EPISODE 2 news from Australia. Also, feel free to talk about Lucasfilm finally acknowledging that they had cast Anakin. Also, is it just me, or is the design of the EPISODE 2 section of the official STAR WARS site, rather... ominous looking. It's not very colorful, very drab. Hmmm.... Does it mean anything, or are they just trying to give us an impression of a tonal shift with the coming film? Interesting.
G'day Harry, There's an interview in today's Age newspaper with Rick McCallum. The only new information to me was this:
"McCallum says Lucas is continuing to work on the script but has brought in Jonathan Hales, a friend and collaborator whose credits include Young Indiana Jones and The Mirror Crack'd, to polish the dialogue."
Whilst we all new that Hales is on board, I have heard precious little specifics about his role. Dialogue? Yep, Lucas needs all the help he can get in that department. Although, based on TPM, the more pressing need is for someone to check out his story structure: whatever happened to that hero-of-a-thousand-faces stuff relied on so heavily for Eps 4,5,6? (Sorry, but the logical focus of Ep 1 is Anakin not Qui-gon 'n' Obi-wan. Maybe then there'da been a less tedious plot, unreliant on the alleged action adventure spectacle of inter-planetary politics.) Ah, well. Polished dialogue. Be thankful for small mercies.
