The Kidd here...
Following the teaser one sheet reveal from Disney yesterday, The Mouse is giving us our first look at THE LONE RANGER in action with the release of the film's teaser trailer.
There are only glimpses to be had of the Ranger and Tonto, as this teaser is really about building the unseen Tom Wilkinson as the villain and the setting of the film. There is a lot of train on display here, so I'm curious to see what type of action Gore Verbinski has in store for us with that in mind. And, if you were worried that Johnny Depp would just be replicating his Jack Sparrow routine in Native American garb, that doesn't appear to be the case... at least so far. We may be getting Depp playing the role straight, which can only benefit the film.
Consider me intrigued. I'm not blown away by what I'm seeing just yet, but I am curious to see more.
