SPIDER-MAN to debut Fall 2001 at your friendly neighborhood theater

Hey folks, Harry here. Expect some news on SPIDER-MAN very very soon. According to The Hollywood Reporter, SONY is hosting a gigantic "meeting today with about 400 potential licensing, promotion and retail partners for its planned fall 2001 release of the Sam Raimi-helmed 'Spider-Man: The Movie.'" So all you licensing, promotion and retail partners... dii dii dii deee deeee deeeee dii dii dii... that's are little signal to have you be johnny on the spot at UCLA at 4pm today. There are likely to be some details, like possibly villians, story idea or possibly even casting announcements. And we should all keep our ears close to the electronic rail we surf on, as news will be hitting about this. Check the key sites beginning tomorrow night and into Thursday morning for details. And as for the push from SUMMER 2001 to FALL 2001. That makes sense. In all likelihood they are not positioning SPIDER-MAN for NOVEMBER/THANKSGIVING Weekend, which would give the film approximately 25 days till it ran into the monster known as LORD OF THE RINGS.
