“Continuum,” the Canadian sci-fi drama about a gorgeous cop from the year 2077 trapped and tracking deadly escaped freedom fighters in present-day Vancouver, is headed for Syfy, according to Deadline Hollywood.
While in the present, the cop meets the young genius who in the future rules her corporate-ruled dystopian society.
The series stars tall, beautiful Rachel Nichols, who had major roles in J.J. Abrams’ “Alias” and Tim Minear’s “The Inside” before she played Jim Kirk’s green love interest in “Star Trek.”
Ten episodes have already run on Canada’s Showcase channel, which has ordered a 13-episode second season.
