The theatrical trailer for LAWLESS was pretty much on point - gunplay, Tom Hardy being a badass, and even Shia LaBeouf looked pretty formidable. This red band trailer from Vice, surprisingly, is a bit more subtle and quiet. There's a sense of foreboding, like the wrath of the gods is descending on the Bondurant family, and this definitely feels like a John Hillcoat movie.
