Hey folks, Harry here... I didn't really discover JUDGE DREDD in 1977 when he was unleashed upon the unwashed masses... It wasn't until the early 80s, but when I read my first 2000AD, I sought them all out and with the help my Father Geek, I read just about everything available. What I love about this featurette is how we're told that Judge Dredd can be used to tell a vast variety of stories and genres. I like that, because it is absolutely true. Shit, you could probably make one hell of a musical. But thankfully they're telling a straight up action crime story within the world of MEGA CITY - and from what Quint has told me, we should all be giddy in anticipation. Having watched THE RAID last night - I know there's no possible way they top the physical wow of Iko Uwais... if you haven't seen him in MERANTAU, get to it. The stories are reportedly similar and they were both being made in overlapping schedules... But to me, even if DREDD were a direct lift, that'd be nothing but good. And man, a Gareth Evans DREDD movie would be unbelievably awesome. But here... take a look. This is definitely a world I can't wait to dive into.
