Is This The New GALACTICA?? Syfy Greenlights Bryan Fuller’s LOTUS CAVES Pilot HIGH MOON!!

I am – Hercules!!

Bryan Fuller, the “Star Trek” writer who went on to create “Dead Like Me,” “Wonderfalls” and “Pushing Daisies,” is on fire at NBCUniversal.

His NBC Lecter series “Hannibal” already has a 13-episode midseason order, his hourlong NBC Munsters pilot “Mockingbird Lane” is shot and looks headed to series – and now his long-in-development “High Moon” (based on the trippy 1969 John Christopher science fiction novel “The Lotus Caves”) has been greenlit to pilot by Syfy.

The book, set in 2068, is about a pair of moon-dwelling teens who stumble upon a hiding, sentient non-human outside their biodome.

The highly visual, effects-friendly pilot script, which struck me as a cross between “Dead Like Me” and “2001,” has me more excited than any other Syfy project since “Battlestar Galactica.”
