SPOILER!! Tonight’s second Sunday “Big Brother” should be a corker. Willie Hantz – “Survivor” loser Russell Hantz’ skinnier, less-bald brother -- apparently grew furious when he learned unemployed wrestler-spawn Frank Eudy was about to nominate Hantz for eviction.
If we’re to believe cast member Boogie Malin’s comments on the 24/7 live feeds, Hantz began slamming doors, pelting Janelle Pierzina with pork rinds as he called her a cunt and repeatedly head-butted fellow contestant Chef Joe Arvin (!). Word is Hantz had to be physically escorted from the Big Brother house and permanently removed from the game. Awesome.
I’m also excited about tonight because it brings the first episode of “The Newsroom” I didn’t get to see five or six weeks ago. It’s been a long wait to see how Will McAvoy and Jim Harper react to the traps they were lured into.
I adored the selflessness and grace evinced by Mary Louise Parker’s Nancy Botwin – as well as the work of “Parenthood” icon Mae Whitman -- in last week’s “Weeds” (though the shoebox tower of those poor dead bunnies really kind of tore my heart out). This final season is already a lot more fun than the Manhattan one we got last year.
