Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
There’s a reason I’m running this sweet Total Recall image today… because today is when Sony has their big Total Recall redo presentation at Comic-Con. I’m not one of those fans that thinks there’s no room for reimaginings, but damn if I get a bad feeling off of that one.
It doesn’t help that I’m no fan of Len Wiseman as a filmmaker, but the real disconcerting thing is that it feels like a blander retread of Paul Verhoeven’s film instead of a more serious adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s We Can Remember It For You Wholesale. I mean, the fact that it was so fun was the main thing going for Verhoeven’s original (that and the three-boobied lady)!
So, barring a miracle I’m not expecting to enjoy Wiseman’s stab at this film too much, but I’ll always have the cheeseball Arnie version to hug and squeeze and love up on. Thanks to Pat Barnett for this one and click to enlargen!
