Hey there all you false prophets and web scowerers, Harry here with an update on BLACK MASK 2, which seems to be being headed by Tsui Hark, who thankfully is not working with Van Damme... whew.... The Beige Babapapa has got all the nitty gritty, so get down with it and enjoy...
Hi Harry, Beige Babapapa here in Hongkers.
As mentioned before, there was hot news that Black Mask 2 and Warriors of Zu Mountain 2 were in the works.....well it's confirmed. Tsui Hark's on board for BM2, and is wrapping up WZM2. Also, there's a very nice sweetener in the pot ...it seems Yuen Woo-ping will be involved ...chop socky ahoy !!! The downside is that Jet Li is too busy and too big now so the up and coming Louis Ku Tin-lok might be BM2 (incidentally, he starts in a lot of the Chinese Dynasty soap sagas ) Personally, I'd like to see Man Cheuk Chiu who starred in the Blacksheep Affair, and has a similar background to Jet Li (started Martial Arts at the age of , and is a Chinese Wushu Champion) ....I know a lot of talkbackers didn't rate BM, and although it isn't one of Jet Li's best, I though it was pretty decent with a hero you could feel some empathy and with a premise for further development ...quite a rarity in HK cinema lately ...anyway, here's the snippet ....

" Will Louis Ku Tin-lok be the next Jet Li ? Well, not tomorrow perhaps, but he might get a stab at the American market if he gets the coveted role in Black Mask 2 - the sequel to the movie that finally got Li into Hollywood.
China Star has confirmed it will be co-producing Black Mask 2, to be directed by Tsui Hark, with a "US production company". Cameras are expected to roll in the US in July, once Tsui finishes post-production on Warriors of Zu Mountain 2. Apparently, The Matrix martial-arts choreographer Yuen Woo-ping has signed on to create a few nifty moves for the action sequences. Although China Star says it hasn't decided on the lead actor yet, Tiffany Heung did acknowledge that Ku is on the shortlist. Ku has overcome a wobbly career start to build up solid reputation as a popular actor, and would be a good choice for the role"
