The Kidd here...
It is absolutely easy to shit all over anything coming our way that has Tim Burton's name on it. Let's face it. He hasn't exactly been stoking any type of confidence in his work like he used to with his past few efforts. However, FRANKENWEENIE might be different. Sure, he's going back to a well he once used very early in his career, but that's when we talked about Burton fondly... so maybe he has the right idea.
A new trailer has been released for FRANKENWEENIE (view it in HD over at Apple), and there's a lot to like here. This is far from cringeworthy, and it looks like a genuinely heartfelt tale about a boy and his dog... which then just involves a lot of reanimation. Maybe this is the one that has Burton turning it around...?
