Herc’s Sunday TV Talkback!!
Who Killed Rosie Larsen?? Learn On Tonight's Maybe-Last KILLING Ever!! Final Thoughts On MAD MEN!! The GIRLS, CLIENT, MYTHBUSTERS And BORGIAS Finales!! The Returns Of GATOR BOYS And FALLING SKIES!! Plus TRUE BLOOD And More!

Before we learned it was really Roger Sterling, was I the only one thinking Sally’s friend Glen was hanging up on Megan?

And would Don have hallucinated about his hanged brother if Lane Pryce succeeded in starting his Jaguar?

“Mad Men” likes to end with “big” episodes. I think season one ended with Dick Whitman almost walking away from Don Draper forever. I think season three ended with the destruction and rebirth of Sterling Cooper.

The season finale wasn’t a game changer, but it was I thought a more than solid ending. Alexis Bledel’s Beth Dawes returned to undergo memory erasure and get Pete kicked off his commuter train. (Did you know Kartheiser shaved back his hairline this season to reflect Pete’s stress?)

Megan’s mom received at the Stanhope an acid-trip invitation from Roger Sterling. Peggy was assigned what would become Phillip Morris’ Virginia Slims. (Marie arrived in Manhattan for Easter – which fell on March 26 in 1967.  Virginia Slims hit the market July 22, 1968.)

SCDP enjoyed its best quarter ever and gobbled up more office space in Rockefeller Center’s Time Life building. And Megan employed nepotism to become the face of Butler Shoes.

I am not a fan of Don’s hallucinations, which feel a little hacky and too much like something we’ve seen on much worse series. Another thing that bugs me a little is the $125,000 death benefit SCDP received. Do insurance companies really pay death benefits subsequent to an obvious suicide? What company could make money writing a policy like that? (Also, was the insurance company aware that Lane had already tendered his resignation from SCDP when he wrapped that wire around his neck?)

Well, if it was a cheat, it was a cheat that gave us likely the best line of the finale’s most riveting scene: “You had no right to fill a man like that with ambition,” as delivered by “Army of Darkness” icon Embeth Davitz.

The biggest thing about the episode was probably this: it marked the first season a married Draper failed to cheat on his wife.

The expression on Elizabeth Moss’ face when Peggy discovered two dogs fucking outside her Richmond hotel room was a howl. I’d love to see Moss take home an Emmy this summer.

On last week’s “The Killing,” set on election day and billed as the first part of its season finale, Mitch Larsen learned about her family’s new pet and house, Stan Larsen learned Janek Kovarsky sleeps with the fishes, detective Sarah Linden learned the key card belonged to the Richmond campaign’s Gwen Eaton, and mayoral candidate Darren Richmond learned campaign aide Jamie Wright lied about where he was the night of Rosie’s murder.

Tonight we learn who killed Rosie Larsen.

It’s got to be Gwen Eaton, right? If it turns out Ruth Yitanes or Lyndon Johnson Rosales killed Rosie, I believe I’m done with this show whether it’s renewed or not.

On tonight’s “True Blood,” we’re introduced to badass Vampire Authority leader Roman, played by “Oz” vet Chris Meloni, as well as his tech-savvy minion, played by “Veronica Mars” vet and real-life tech geek Tina Majorino.
