Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
Now today’s pic looks a lot like a screengrab, so I’d wager that’s exactly what it is, but it’s still a great shot perfectly capturing the baby faces of Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell on the set of The Evil Dead (or as the slate reads Book Of The Dead).
Just think about what this film ushered in. Not just the careers of those involved, specifically those featured in this shot, but what it did for indie horror. The great success of this film was a shot in the arm for low budget horror and I’d wager it helped many of your favorite ‘80s low budget schlockers get financed, with private investors chasing that crazy Evil Dead success.
