Kristen Wiig’s tears in the final sketch of “Saturday Night Live’s” 37th season signaled what appeared to be the end of her SNL career.
Wiig is presumably winging to Hollywood to keep making hit movies with “Bridesmaids” producer Judd Apatow.
Steve Martin, Jon Hamm, Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch, Chris Parnell and Chris Kattan all returned to the SNL stage for the episode, the first hosted by Mick Jagger.
The episode hit a 2.7 in adults 18-49.
As usual, SNL was the highest-rated scripted show on NBC in or out of primetime for the week. (The only show on the network that scored higher was returning reality show “America’s Got Talent.”)
