In THIS interview with The Daily Beast, Sir Ridley Scott briefly references that BLADE RUNNER film we've lately ben hearing so much about.
We learned yesterday that the picture will be set "some years after" Scott's stunning 1982 film, and that its script will be shaped to some extent by Hampton Fancher, a writer on the original.
Scott now says...
We have a very good take on it. And we’ll definitely be featuring a female protagonist.
The article goes into some depth about Sir Ridley's work on the forthcoming PROMETHEUS, and discusses his attitudes towards strong female leads (ALIEN, G.I. JANE, HANNIBAL, THELMA & LOUISE, PROMETHEUS, and now the new BLADE RUNNER from the sound of it). Interesting stuff...CHECK IT OUT!
