Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
Since I'm going to be flying all day, I figured I'd post today's pic a little early.
Anybody who doesn’t rate Planes, Trains and Automobiles 10 out of 10 on IMDB is dead to me. DEAD, DO YOU HEAR ME!?!
I don’t think I could ever pick a favorite John Hughes movie. Any given day that could change. Some days I might favor Ferris Bueller, some days Sixteen Candles, some days Breakfast Club and some days Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
Man, I miss John Candy. He’s so great in this movie. The “I like me” speech gets me every single time. Goofy, but with a huge heart, just like Candy was supposed to be in person. This could be his best on-screen character.
I love everything about this movie, from Steve Martin’s slow descent into madness to Dylan Baker’s hillbilly to Edie McClurg’s short, but insanely memorable scene, which had the most f-bombs in a single scene I had ever seen as a kid, yet was still totally kosher for me to watch. Thanks Mom!
Thanks to Pat Barnett for sending this one along! Click to enlargen!

If you have a behind the scenes shot you’d like to submit to this column, you can email me at quint@aintitcool.com.
Tomorrow’s pic has been revoltingly unfaithful to you, I’m afraid.
