Copper the Hound digs up some rumors about TPM and Episode 2

Hey folks, Harry here with a first time spy that likes to play around with a lot called FOX, he calls himself Copper the Hound, and sounds a bit like an all growed up version of Corey Feldman... Well, he claims to have dug something up, but I have not been able to get this confirmed, so treat this like COMPLETE RUMOR STUFF. The.. no commercial break thing has only happened, I believe, once before and that was for SCHINDLER'S LIST... so it is possible. As for the post-film interview... If you happen to be in one of Leonard Maltin's classes... ask him if he's going to be doing a Lucas interview for Network TV Broadcast. Actually, I'm kinda bummed that Lucas didn't go ahead and do something like that for the Video Collector's Edition. But then... He didn't do very much of anything for fans on that edition. SIgh. Anyway, here's a hefty rumor to gnaw upon...

Harry,

I'll cut to the chase... I'm on a tight schedule and could be discovered at any moment. After scaling a couple of fences and deactivating several motion sensors, I had made my way into the FOX studio compound. While catching my breath, I overheard 2 officers gossiping during a smoke break. They were obviously high ranking officers, possibly part of FOX's inner circle. What were they doing here... on the outskirts of the compound? I listened...

Blah, Blah this...

Something about a special cameo in Planet of the Apes... Blah Blah that...

A sequel planned for Titan A.E... more Blah Blah... and then the two magic words were uttered: Star Wars!

Jackpot! I crouched in the shadows, straining to listen and hear every whisper. My heart was racing, all I could hear was the thump-thump of blood being pumped through my body. Concentrating, I willed my heart into a state of near suspended animation. Now I could hear exactly what was being said (more or less):

"They'll have the deal to broadcast Star Wars: TPM on FOX this year wrapped up this week."

"This will give the network guys a boost."

"Yep, and they'll need it in the fall!"

"September to be more exact."

"Yep, that's really not to long after the video release either."

"And the broadcast won't have any commercial interruptions... those guys with the digital satellites will be happy... they'll be able to record the whole movie and it will look better than the VHS that they buy on Tuesday."

"But the real kicker is the exclusive George Lucas interview and Episode II preview that will follow the broadcast of the movie."

"Yeah, that could be ratings heaven."

"Do you know if it will be a live discussion?"

"Don't know... Lucas doesn't like live. But I do know he's planning to show some pre-pro from episode II."

"Smart. Keep this thing in the limelight."

"Yep, sell those toys. Start the hype machine."

And with that, I scurried to a more secure area and began this encrypted transmission. Direct from the shadows of the FOX compound to you.
