Stephen King’s 1987 novel “The Eyes of the Dragon” is being developed as a miniseries or movie by the Syfy channel, according to Entertainment Weekly’s James Hibberd.
The even better news is the book will be adapted by Syfy fixture Michael Taylor (“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” “Star Trek: Voyager,” “Battlestar Galactica,” “Virtuality,” “Caprica,” “Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome,” “Defiance”) and Jeff Vintar (“I, Robot”).
The book, set on a chunk of the “In-World” depicted in King’s “Dark Tower” series, follows an innocent prince imprisoned for murder as he works to escape, clear his name and bring down Flagg, the magician responsible for his father’s death.
Will Syfy court Jamie Sheridan to play Flagg, the king’s magician?
