Meanwhile we all know that the NRG (National Research Group) handles alot of test screenings for Hollywood. Well here is a new study (to me anyway) that I was not familiar with, that the NRG does. This spy was called out of the blue and asked about Lethal Weapon 4. Here is she/he/it's experience:
NRG called me asking if they could interview me for movie research they were conducting. After answering many questions about current movies and movies coming out soon I was asked to answer questions about "Lethal Weapon 4, starring Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Renee Russo, and Chris Rock." No mention was made of Joe Pesci appearing in the movie. The plot line was described to me as follows (as best as memory can serve). Mel and Renee are engaged and planning the wedding, Riggs being the zany character that he is needs to confer with his mentor (Glover) to get marriage advice.
Throughought the movie he worries about whether he is making the right decision and whether he is really ready to settle down to the family life style. The villian of the movie is a counterfeiting ring. Chris Rock is a counterfeiter who I believe helps out the good guys against the bigger counterfeiting ring (The caller talked pretty fast so I didn't catch all the part concerning Chris). Its possible that he plays the bad guy, but given that Joe Pesci was not mentioned I assume he is taking over his spot as annoying/funny sidekick to Mel/Renee/Danny.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, sounds real interesting. Don't know if it's true or not, but it certainly peaked my interest.
