The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day came across time for you, Sarah. It loves you. It always has.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!

Today we get a little look at some stop motion effects work from James Cameron’s first Terminator film.

The man working the T-800 puppet is “Sneaky Pete” Kleinow, an effects man and rock star, believe it or not. He was a founding member of the Flying Burrito Brothers and played (steel guitar was his specialty) with everybody from Joe Cocker to The Rolling Stones to John Lennon to Frank Zappa. He also happened to animate Gumby. In the ‘80s he worked on Gremlins, Empire Strikes Back, Caveman and, yes, Terminator.

Fascinating guy and here he is at work. Thanks again to the PEG for this shot! Click to (slightly) enlargen. Enjoy!

If you have a behind the scenes shot you’d like to submit to this column, you can email me at quint@aintitcool.com.

Tomorrow’s pic is talking to you.
