Hey folks, Harry here... with one of them films that makes me just go... "Hmmmmm". I love Jonathon Demme as a filmmaker, though I loathed BELOVED. The idea of remaking a Stanley Donen movie as wonderful as this one. A film that starred Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn... Well, it just boggles the mind. HOWEVER, doing an all black cast film (if that is indeed what he's doing) starring Will Smith, Jeffrey Wright and Thandie Newton... well... it's intriguing, albeit a bit weird. We'll have to wait and see with this one. Demme can be brilliant.
Jonathan Demme is developing the remake of CHARADE with all black cast. He's talking to Will Smith and Thandy Newton. Jeffrey Wright is also being considered for the role played by Walter Matthau in the original. And it will take place in Paris like in the original.
