The Kidd here...
There seems to be this tonal shift taking place in the new trailer for ROCK OF AGES every time Alec Baldwin shows up, but the soundtrack alone is enough to get my ass in the door mid-June when Warner Bros. releases the movie adaptation of the Broadway musical.
Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Poison, Whitesnake... yeah, I'm totally there.
Adam Shankman's film looks like a bit of a mixed bag right now, and I'm far less confident that it'll be at least a fun time at the movies than I was before, but I'm in to see Tom Cruise take the stage as Stacee Jaxx no matter what. He surprised us in TROPIC THUNDER by playing against typical Tom Cruise type, and that's what I most looking forward to seeing here.
