By Odin's beard!!! Remember when Paramount killed that proposed ANCHORMAN sequel that would've reuinted the entire cast for a Broadway show prior to going before cameras? Well, it's back on.
To what extent, I have no idea. All we know right now is that, according to Nikki Finke, Judd Apatow will produce ANCHORMAN 2 for Paramount, and that Adam McKay will direct from a screenplay co-written with Will Ferrell. Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and, presumably, Dave Koechner will reprise their roles (Finke only saw fit to trumpet the return of Carell and Rudd). I imagine that Christina Applegate will also be back. As for other details, I'll start emailing folks and see what I can turn up. I hope this is still a quasi-musical, as I'd love to see this gang go for a Marx Brothers-style comedy.
