Hey everybody! Harry here. Our man in Panama, dressed to the nines and feeling awfully fine, put down a dime and busted out this story which does not rhyme. Although he appears to be far from being a mime and he filed the story in quick time, though no video feeds, I accept this... this wonderful good deed of which you can now all read...
I´m writing because i want to keep you up to date on what`s going on with the Tailor of Panamà movie, (El sastre de Panamá).
Last wednesday the director (John Boorman) and the stars (Pierce Brosnan, Jamie Lee Curtis and Geoffrey Rush), held a press conference where they inform the media that they were going to be in the country for six weeks, filmings all the exteriors scenes, that they were going to use some local actors and extras. The conference was no longer than a half hour an all behave very nice and accepted request for pictures and little interviews.
Shooting started on saturday 11. They went to the riviera of the Panamá Canal were thy did some scenes, for the next 2 day they filmed at Gamboa (Close to the Miraflores locks and Colòn City at the Atlantic Sea) where they took a boat that took them to the very paradiasic Tigre Island, The shooting was very private and no one could get there.
Yesterday, Pierce Brosnan and Geoffrey Rush were filming in downtown Panamà City. It was around noon and they were making a traffic jam scene. It went smoothly, even tough they were being seen by many fans and outlookers that went gaga at the sight of Mr Brosnan. I grant an interview with the director who told me that everythiong was going as planned, that even the hot weather was not a problem, at least for him. Shooting is expected for 4 more weeks and he hopes to give the world a new look of what really and how beautiful and rich this country is. He also told me that he has been to this country before and when he was approched to do this movie, he, without hesitation, accepted.
