There really is nothing safe from the reach of reboots and re-imaginings, and, if you thought otherwise, then look no further than Paramount's plan to give a new spin on Mark Twain's characters Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer. That should help you realize nothing is off-limits.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that HUCK AND TOM, a spec script by Andrew Burg, will follow the duo as adults in something resembling the SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN focus Universal has taken with that source material. Furthermore, there are supernatural elements somewhere in the script.
Ummm... supernatural elements...? In a story about Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer...? Seriously... what the fuck is going on here?!
Has Andrew Burg ever read any Mark Twain?
Next you're going to tell me some genius is putting werewolves in a LONE RANGER movie...
