Ellen Degeneres' talk show ELLEN premiered the trailer, and this looks like Tim Burton's tongue is very much in his cheek. For one thing, it's a 1972 period piece, and once they said the date that the movie took place in the trailer, I guessed it was only a matter of time before a mirror ball showed up. At least the trailer comes off as broad comedy, but knowing the fanbase for the original show as I do, I'm pretty certain torches are being lit and pitchforks sharpened for the inevitable storming of the castle, so to speak.
