TV Guide and my DVR both thought the black-guy “Alcatraz” was going to be on Fox last Monday, but my DVR recorded the Daytona 500. Was the race postponed to Monday thanks to rain or something?
No black-guy “Alcatraz” this week either, apparently. Instead we get a 2-hour “Alcatraz” about three more handsome skinny short-haired white criminals I probably won’t be able to distinguish from all the other handsome short-haired skinny white criminals Emerson Hauser has already tossed back into stir.
Was anything important revealed during the black-guy “Alcatraz”? Will Lucy Sengupta start tonight’s episode all healthy and conscious and fixing Hauser some eggs? Will the episode start with Hurl… Dr. Diego Soto waking up next to the naked version of Hot Sandman Coroner Girl?

In back-to-back all-new episodes, two of Alcatraz's most violent brothers, Herman (guest star Travis Aaron Wade) and Pinky (guest star Graham Shiels) Ames, who were notorious for nearly escaping in 1963, find something mysteriously amiss when they return to Alcatraz in the present day. In the second installment, Sonny Burnett (guest star Theo Rossi), a man with an incredible dark side who became ultra-violent during his stint at Alcatraz, returns.

The Daytona 500 certainly scored better ratings than “House” or “Alcatraz” last Monday.
“2 Broke Girls” finished ahead of “Two and a Half Men” for the first time ever last week.
“Two and a Half Men,” “Mike & Molly” and “Hawaii Five-0” all hit season lows last Monday. Is “The Voice,” which tied the Thursday edition (and beat the Tuesday and Wednesday editions) of “American Idol” last week, to blame?
