Joseph Kahn's certifiably insane Detention gets a release date!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. One of my favorite What the fuck?!? movies of 2011 was Joseph Kahn's Detention, which screened at SXSW where it made quite an impact.

If a movie that features a time traveling stuffed polar bear, Vice-Versa like body switching, Scream-like post-modern slashers and UFOs sounds like it's up your alley then this one is for you. If that sounds like a mess, then you should probably pass. Here's my original review if you want to find out more.

MTV announced that Samuel Goldwyn Films will be putting out this ADD bit of insanity on April 13th and also has an exclusive clip from the movie. I don't think the clip's very good, but if you wanna see it click here. I think the movie works the best as an immersive experience and if it was me I'd pick a clip that let its freak flag fly. But then again they're trying to get people to actually see the movie, so they picked a more standard bully moment to sell it, so I guess I understand.

Looking forward to seeing how this one plays. When I call it certifiably insane I'm not using that for dramatic reasons. It really is a schizophrentic movie.
