Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Our resident Slystalker Supreme, ABKing, sent us a heads up about the new real-deal team-up of Sly Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger THE TOMB that's pretty cool.
Jim Caviezel is now signed to play the warden, according to producer Mark Canton, who announced the deal being locked on the Matthew Aaron Show:
Mikael Hafstrom directs this prison-set thriller about the man who designs prisons to be escapeproof finding himself wrongly imprisoned in one of his toughest installations.
In the above interview, Canton says Arnold and Sly will have real screentime, with Arnie being much more than a cameo. In fact, he brings up HEAT, obviously drawing parallels between Arnold and Sly and Pacino and De Niro chewing the scenery together.
Caviezel is a great, underused actor. I'm actually a really big fan of Frequency and wonder why he never quite broke through the way people like Colin Farrell did. Having not read the script I can't tell if The Warden is going to be a heavy or not, but Caviezel can really play either archetype well, so I'm not worried either way.
