Mondo has decided to make posters for their fave Academy Award nominees!

Hey folks, Harry here...   I'm a MONDO cheerleader, there's no doubt.   But the film I'm most gaga for in 2011 is Martin Scorsese's HUGO - I really do feel it is absolutely remarkable - and yet... I have not been a fan of any of the posters that I've seen via the studio.   The SAFTEY LAST beat with HUGO hanging off the clock arm should not have been the iconic image, instead - putting the audience on the otherside of the clock and put a little whimsy out the clockface and it makes all the difference to me.   Love this poster...   Check it out:

Then, Mondo has chosen RANGO to be their pick for BEST ANIMATED FILM - for me, it is a toss up between that and A CAT IN PARIS - which is really surprisingly outstanding!   Really loved that film.   Here's RANGO:

It was announced last year that Mondo has partnered with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences to archive all prints for their research library.
 
Posters for all four films will be sold during the Academy Awards on Sunday, February 26.  Follow @MondoNews for the sale announce time.
