Jon Favreau (The “Iron Man” movies, “Cowboys and Aliens”) will direct the pilot for NBC’s “Revolution,” an action-drama about people struggling to survive and reconnect with loved ones in a world in which all energy has suddenly and mysteriously disappeared.
It comes from J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot production concern (“Alias,” “Lost,” “Fringe,” “Person of Interest,” “Alcatraz”), which in 2010 gave NBC “Undercovers.”
The “Revolution” pilot was written by “Supernatural” mastermind Eric Kripke.
Favreau previously directed the pilot for ABC’s short-lived 2007 Jonathan Silverman sitcom “In Case Of Emergency.”
