This morning the Brits announced their version of our Academy Awards, quite a different group, but Father Geek does notice some familar names on the list. Check it out...
Hey there Father Geek.
Good morning, afternoon, evening, the nominees for the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) were announced this morning March 1st 2000. Last year, as I'm sure you are aware, Shakespeare in Love won Best Picture, The Trueman Show won best direction, and original screenplay and Elizabeth won Best British Film. This years nominations are as follows.
Please dissect and enjoy the comparisons between the Oscar Nominations and the British equivalent, its interesting to note that the Oscar voters are primarily comprised of Actors whereas the Bafta voters are more involved in the behind the scenes aspects.
