Lizzy Caplan, the “Freaks & Geeks” and “Party Down” player who got plenty naked in some season-one “True Blood” sex scenes, could be returning to pay cable for “Masters of Sex,” the tale of sex researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson.
Masters will be played in the pilot by “Underworld” vampire Michael Sheen, who has already played Tony Blair, David Frost and CyberBowie on the big screen. If “Masters” goes forward, it will be his first role as a series regular, though in 2010 he had a recurring role as Wesley Snipes in “30 Rock.”
