Paul Brittain, hilarious as Ron Paul in the debate sketches, has quit “Saturday Night Live,” effective immediately.
Brittain joined the cast in Sept. 25, 2010, but hasn’t played as many prominent roles as more established cast memebers. He apparently left the show to pursue other opportunities.
Kristen Wiig, a cast member since 2005, and Jason Sudeikis, who joined in 2003, are expected to leave the show in May.
SNL returns this weekend with host Channing Tatum.
